A downdraft table is an all-in-one solution for eliminating hazardous dust, smoke, and fumes directly at the source. It provides a ventilated work surface that captures contaminants as they are generated.
Downdraft tables work by pulling contaminated air down under the work surface. In dry downdraft tables, the air passes through a fire retardant cartridge filter. Wet downdraft tables use water to bond and neutralize particles, especially for combustible dust.
Yes, dry downdraft tables comply with OSHA regulations and wet tables meet NFPA 652, 654, and 484 standards.
Designed for 1-2 Shifts a day: Stick, Flux Core, MIG,TIG welding, and grinding.
Downdraft tables are used in industries involving welding, deburring, grinding, sanding, cutting, and mixing. They're particularly useful as a grinding station or in metalworking applications.
Fume Xtractors downdraft tables feature an auto and manual pulse feature. Pulse the unit either by switching the controls to auto or switching the unit to manual by pressing the Pulse Button and releasing it 2-3 times.
This pulsing method should be done at least 2-3 times daily to help extend filter life and save on filter costs.
